Excerpt:

“Let me escort you to your door.” He insisted. She nodded; it was a small thing to ask.

He took her arm and led her to her door then he stopped. She turned to him to say goodnight and his lips dropped to hers. Startled, her lips opened, and his tongue slid in exploring her mouth. Never had she been kissed like this before. Honestly, she’d avoided sexual activity and she felt inexperienced in his arms. With no idea what to do, she just stood there allowing him to kiss her as he wished. Grant stepped back.

“You didn’t like it?” He asked uncertainly.

“My experience is limited. Eventually my father will choose my mate and he has always said that is the best time to learn.”

“Don’t you want your fated one?”

“Father says few find them. That’s why it’s best to choose based on who is most helpful to the family.”

“You have to know all that is wrong.”

“My father says he has my best interest at heart like no one else ever will.” She replied. Oh, she was tempted, but what if she became pregnant with no mate in sight? She knew all about males, her father had told her.

“Kissing won’t ruin you for your mate and it is wise to learn so he isn’t frustrated.”

“Did that frustrate you?” She asked concerned.

“No, but surely you’ve noticed I am more patient than most?”

“That is true. What should I do?”

“First you relax and put your arms around my neck. I’ll lean in and when I slide my tongue into your mouth, you play with it using your tongue.” Grant explained.

She did just as he directed, and she found it enjoyable. Her breathing picked up and her heart beat faster. It made her wonder why, but she said nothing in case that wasn’t the right result. Her body heated up and she felt a tingle. The space between her thighs felt damp.

Grant’s hands ran over her and she liked it. So much in fact, that her nipples hurt. That was a sign of wanting sex. She’d heard about that. This might be a mistake. She started to pull back, but he deepened the kiss and the ability to think went out of her head. Finally, Grant pulled back.

“You can see how it will help you to have a little experience when the time comes, right?”

“I suppose a little wouldn’t hurt. Especially since I’ll soon be mated.”

“When do you think your mate will be picked?” Grant asked.

“Before I return home from here. I think the battle is going better. You and your wolves have made a big difference.”

“We live to serve.”

“We’d best get to sleep. I believe we’ll have a mission in the morning.”

“Goodnight, sweet Jaclyn.”

“Goodnight Grant.” She stepped through the door closing it then leaned against it. It was easy to imagine Grant still standing there even though he’d probably left right away.

About the author:

When she’s not out hunting rogue vampires and werewolves, you can find Crystal Dawn out exploring the galaxy. She can do it all without ever leaving her computer. She kicks ass, takes names, and puts it all down for the enjoyment of her readers. At least that’s what I think she told me. Writing came as a natural outlet for her overly creative mind. The start of her stories is the easy part. Finishing them is a little harder when all the stories are in there trying to get out. She loves reading, chocolate, fine sweet wine, and traveling among a large list of pursuits. Her favorite people, after her family and close friends, are her readers who she says are some of the most wonderful people in this galaxy and the next.
